THE
VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
In the following subject we will expose about a very important and interesting topic which is actually affecting our society and mainly most of
the women around the world are suffeting
domestic violence. We hope that you like it!
The United Nations defines violence against women as
'any act of gender-based violence that results in, or is likely to result in,
physical, sexual or mental harm or suffering to women, including threats of
such acts, coercion or arbitrary deprivation of liberty, whether occurring in
public or in private life.
THE CAUSES AND
CONSECUENCES :
ü Alcoholism: an endless
number of cases record that a large percentage of women who are abused by their
marital partners are under the influence of alcohol.
ü Lack of
awareness among the inhabitants of a society believe that this is the best way of
doing things: mistreating and battering to the women.
ü Strong ignorance
of not knowing there is better way to solve things: they don´t
know that the best way to solve a social phenomenon is talking and analyzing
what are the causes and then try to fix
it.
ü Failing to
control impulses: we are often impulsive, generating violence, we do
not know how to work things out.
ü Lack of
understanding between couples, the incompatibility of characters: intra-family
violence is a major cause of violence there, a child who grows up in an
atmosphere of conflict and little
harmonious will be, sure, a
problematic person and with few personal principles.
ü Drug abuse: another cause
of violence, many people take drugs in order to be what they are not in
reality, to escape from reality causing so much violence, if they can´t afford to buy
their product'' and hit'' kill even his own mother.
Consecuences:
The consecuentes of the violence against the women are the following:
ü
Mental health
issues
ü
Intencional
homicide
ü Death as a
result of permanent injury
ü
AIDs
ü Suicide (used as
a last resort to escape violence)
